The Boone County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the citizens of Boone County, is dedicated to providing ethical and professional services that promote and protect the well–being, safety, and security of all people in our county; and to operate a safe constitutional jail system. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing a safe and supportive community through honest, competent, professional, and proactive law enforcement services.
Vision
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office intends to effectively serve the citizens of Boone County by supporting value-based conduct by our employees. Our Corrections division will be secure and humane, and we will strive to provide inmate programs that support education, self–esteem and self–help, as well as responsible alternatives to incarceration. We have and will continue to look at rehabilitation instead of incarceration for those willing to commit to our programs that we have in place. Our Communications division is the heart of every call and the lifeline for all public safety throughout our county. It starts in our dispatch center where it is important to maintain courteous responses, calm demeanors and professionalism when answering the call.
